About the intimacy of my complices and family sessions.
Both sessions revolve around the intimacy of the family. I create beauty in the everyday life. In the way you touch, kiss an hold each other. So much so that when you will look at the images 20 years from now, you will be transported right where you are today. The result is not a classical family reportage but something that is more unique and true to who you are as a family.
During my family sessions I focus on the whole family. I photograph at home or in a place bearing a special meaning for you. Life can go a little slower. I get to know you up front and always try to photograph starting from an activity that is important for you. Sleep rituals, breakfasts, walks,… are very beautiful activities to photograph. During the session I take my time to let you land and to let every family member be his/her true self.
A ‘Complices’ session is all about the intimacy between mother and children. It’s a celebration of the mother-child connection, an ode to your motherhood. I't’s all about connection, seeing eachother, softness and real emotions. It’s about the moving simplicity of touches, habits, looks. The result is something that’s somewhat more poetic, intimate and soft that a family session.
In both sessions I try to deliver something unique and very true to the family, a nice compromise between storytelling and art. Images to cherish forever. Poetry in everyday life.
Concretely?
Actually these sessions are just a lot of fun. The idea is to play and to cuddle each other as much as possible.
In order to be able to photograph you in a natural way, I prepare well. I send you a questionnaire up front and if necessary, we organize a call to answer all of your questions and uncertainties. Based on the answers in the questionnaire and the call, we choose a beautiful location and a nice interaction to photograph like a bath moment, a walk, a play session in the garden or on the beach,… Something that’s all yours and that will make the images very unique.
During the session I take my time and that’s very important to me. I don’t just jump in and take some photo’s but I get to know you, scan the location, the light,… and then I start. I let you interact with each other and where necessary I guide and offer advice. I try to maintain a nice balance between spontaneous and natural images on the one hand, and poetic, soft, styled and creative images on the other. The duration of a session varies between one and three hours.
After one to four weeks, you will get a gallery with all edited images in high res and you will get to choose a collection.

The basic collection includes the preparation, the session in itself, 15 edited images of your choice, access to a beautiful gallery where you can choose your images and access a webshop in which you will be able to buy beautiful prints, framed photographs, calendars,…

The standard collection includes the preparation, the session in itself, 30 edited images of your choice, access to a beautiful gallery where you can choose your images and access a webshop in which you will be able to buy beautiful prints, framed photographs, calendars,… You also receive a luxury album of 20X20.

The premium collection includes the preparation, the session in itself, all edited images in high res, access to a beautiful gallery where you can choose your images and access a webshop in which you will be able to buy beautiful prints, framed photographs, calendars,… You also receive a luxury album of 20X20 and a print credit of 150 euros to use in the webshop.
